Journey to the lost city

Slunking vishtusly about the dreepy forest
Inspectanating victouslyt of the flownters
Tripunnping over the roots protruding frout the dirt
Expracion was visible on their countenance
Listening to the sinireepy noises that resechoed through the tree tops
Finally a glistinient beam of light
Spranting faster than ever puving through the scrushb
Fresh air bellushed him in the face
The astonzing view of the aged City repulsed him
He regretted ever going to look for the city
Now for the treturous journey back

What we are

Reading makes us sleepy
Thinking makes our brains hurt
But there always will be that one thing
That one strength
That will not tire us out until
The urge to burry ourselves in the ground comes
That thing is ourselves
It is our lives
The memories and thoughts
The thing that we all love the most
Our dislikes and of course buttons
Everything that We are
And that describes us
Is part of who we are and
It is that one thing that we will
Never lose with time
Or fade like old memories do
It is our being
It is the limbs of our body or
Our beating heart
It is the writing that comes from within us

Acrostic: Sleeping

Safaris across the world
Living dreams in a matter of time
Eclipses being watched over
Egypt while floating down the Nile
Puzzles of life being solved while
Intimately snuggling up with your
New teddy bear
Giggling and snoring while you sleep

Apart

No one can follow me while I’m on my way
It’s a path that it uncharted
I know what you mean when you say
But I have moved on and we have parted
I wonder every day why we didn’t last
Even though dwelling on this will make it hurt more
Thinking about this all I can remember is that it’s the past
I cannot think about you my heart has already tore
Some day I will wish to tell the tale
Or maybe even see your face
But not now while I feel so frail
I could not put up with the chase
This journey has been extensive on my heart
Because you have hit the bull’s-eye with your dart

Internet Invasions

Blowing off time
Losing track of what I’m doing
Oh how boring can something be
White pages flick over and over
Jumping from site to site
Odd sights that no one should lay their eyes upon
Being bombarded with the horrific scene of a pop-up

Funny Haikus

Sports
Last minute buzz shot
Knowing it scores, turn around
Bounce back and hits you

School
Friday nights with plans
Stay up all night partying
Woops, Saturday school

Gossip
Did you hear about?
O yeah, I did. What a goof
Well that was me. Oops

Food
Glistening Fruit sits
Plucking one from its green vine
Ick. Plastic tastes bad

Heidi
Funny looking gal
Poofy hair and kooky smile
Still fun to look at

Haiku's

Falling white snowflakes
Gracefully land onto you
New stars kiss your cheeks

I hate my Haiku
It is so terrible. Why?
I still love Haikus

Darkness all night long
Shadows follow everywhere
Don’t know where to go

Planning out my days
Having to keep up with time
My life is booked full

So much to think of
Working out my time and days
Don’t know what to do

To Love,

You light the alleyway
Which is darkened
Bu the shadows of hate
The screaming
The rocking and shifting
Its an unnatural sway
That makes things normal
Because without the dark
We wouldn’t need the light

Runway

We twirl
And walk
Smile
And turn
Like a puppet
Or a pet
Doing what we’re told
The glam and makeup
Covers what we really are

Spinning the Clock

I lay waiting
Not wanting to move
It gets louder
Beeping uncontrollably
I loath the time I have to get up
But its time
I scramble to collect my supplies
I shouldn’t have procrastinated
I run out the door
6:51
One minute after
The rumbling gets softer
I missed it
I jump in my car
No gas
Today couldn’t get any worse
I start to walk
The clock goes round
Then more time passes
2 minutes left
I’m late

Acrostic:Burn

Beautiful yet terrifying
Under what’s hidden
Ruining lives but
New comes from old

Blink

Close your eyes
Breathe in the cool breeze
Of a hot summers day
Listen
Sound is all around
Yet everything is calm
The waves splash up onto the rocks
Singing tales of old times to you
An eagle screeches
Bringing news from afar
Crickets play their orchestra
The grass whistles a sweet lullaby
The tree swings its long branches
Waving with the gentle breeze
As if happy to see you
O, the perfectionism of Mother Nature
It makes you smile
Now open your eyes
That beauty is lost
To the drowning of bass and smog
The quiet only lasts a blink

Falling Apart

I get a rose for my anniversary. Its sits in my window, claiming to be more beautiful. The rose starts to die. Wilting away faster everyday. I finally choose to water it and to nurture it. I waited too long. I was too stubborn too ignorant. I had my chance. But its too late.

Turning Signal

She kicked my window not knowing that it would crack, everything was fine though because she said it was only a tap. Its getting longer but I won’t see it and I refuse to notice. Its gets worse and worse, blocking my view of the road. I turn not seeing what’s coming from the other side. We hit. The sound so terrible. Crashing, crushing and scraping. In a split second its all over.

Not Done Yet

Finding something to write from nothingness
Is one of the hardest things to do
It never comes out right
Or never flows
You could be given a topic
Yet your mind draws a blank
Meanings to words are unexplainably difficult to remember
That dictionary that was inside your head
Is now turning against you
You use words but they’re not the right ones
Oh, why does life have to be so hard
Nothing seems to fit or go into place
I can not finish

Hidden Streets

Hidden Streets

The world is full
Full of paved roads
But which one do you know to take
Or do you want to take the paved ones?
Sometimes an alternate path is required
Watch carefully
Just follow your feet
The winding and curving
Of those secret passageways
Where will they lead you
Some where beautiful
Or destructive and scary
All is a mystery but
Where you choose to go
Is your mystery

No One (Ekphrasis)

Wanting nothing more than
to feel the rushing and
pulsating waves rock onto
your back. But the solitude
of being a no one steers
you away. It buries your
dreams under the sand.
Turning you invisible
not wanting to be noticed
but knowing that your
time will come
to make that swim
to become a someone

Hysteria

Feeling the freedom of an open road while you drive.
All you can do is see the pavement stretch on. The skies are clear, as night will begin
to fall. Leaving all key
traces of city life

behind. Lights fade away and the life
of an old man that drives
alone comes till dawn emerges like a streak from a key
hole. As the cool sea
breeze slides through your window. It begins
to tickle the back of your neck. The clear

window shows no signs of openness. Having to clear
your throat almost sure of the other life
behind you. Who now would surely begin
to show itself. The fear now drives
into your mind. Wanting not to see
closing your eyes, watching out of slits thinner than a key.

Oh, but don’t forget confidence is key.
You have to keep your mind clear.
Just to focus and see.
A road sign appears not sure what its said but knowing traces of life
would soon come and drive
away all fears that would begin

to make you go mad. A new song begins
to play on the radio. Purposefully singing off key,
hoping it will help to drive
away all the thoughts troubling you and clear
your mind. Finally some life
appears. Now that sign with the letter c

is all your hoping to see
sure signs of life begin
to show up. Rejoicing for you have conquered your own life
of fears. Your key
chain jangles. The sun rises in a clear
morning while you go on and drive
